Growing up, I was always a fan of Normal Rockwell. His lifelike painting of everyday American life is an amazing feat of artistic talent. Some days, I would wish I could paint like that. But it was not to happen. Of those paintings, the celebration of Thanksgiving is especially important this time of year. It portrayed a time when families and friends celebrated together despite contrary views on anything. No politics and no religion were allowed in the conversations at the table. All the troubles of the world were laid aside to celebrate the blessings and the bounty we were and are fortunate to have.
So in that spirit of truly being thankful for everything, I hope you all have a fantastic Thanksgiving!
